This excellent mod for the Fallout New Vegas game is designed for users of the 64 bit windows operating system to take allocate more memory. If you are having a crash after applying the 4GB patcher to the game, more than likely you have obtained it from GOG instead of Steam. You need the game to be patched to enable the LAA flag to use more than the default of 2GB allowed to 32-bit games.
